This weekend was warm and felt more like the middle of the summer than the beginning of May. I was actually inspired to do some summery beading yesterday thanks to the weird weather.
Love the polymer clay urchin by Humblebeads. I have a large humblebeads collection but this is one of my favorites. The other beads are tiny coral branches and rhondonite which matched the urchin perfectly.
The toggle is from one of my million trips to Michael's. I typically don't use a lot of base metal findings but when I'm creating for myself if I think it's cool, I'll use it. However, the chain and the silver beads are sterling silver.
And in other news, I'm currently working on LLC paperwork for my bead business. I plan on changing the name of my blog and my etsy to better suit the direction I'm moving in. This blog will remain but I'll be purchasing the domain name of my LLC and it will redirect everyone here. Also, the etsy shop will eventually move to its new site. Vintage Blue Studio just doesn't reflect what I'm doing these days; ceramic beads, enameling, metalwork, etc... I hope everyone will enjoy the new name and new look when it's ready!

What a great necklace...love the rhondonite!!!
Love ya!

I am going to have to check out Humblebeads. I finally got a few pieces in my Etsy and need to work on photographing the rest. You'll have to coach me about LLC stuff. ;)As always and I have said this before this piece is very cool that you made over the weekend.
