The AJE January component of the month was created by member Jenny Davies-Reazor. It's a fabulous mixed-media piece of polymer and resin (learn more about them here)! Jenny let us choose a word if we wanted and I asked for "relax". Relaxing is something I'm terrible at. I can sit down and try to go to my happy place but instead I just start thinking of all the things I need to do. This piece is a reminder that I just need to chill-the-frig-out...LOL!
At first I had envisioned this crazy piece with all sorts of art beads from my friends, then I got a reality check. I was stressing out over the right beads and so I decided to RELAX. I once again employed the KISS (keep it simple stupid) method and chose just a few art beads from friends and some black chain.
I only had 18 and 14 gauge black wire available so I used the 14 gauge and made a hook clasp using a polymer bead from Second Surf.
Thanks so much to Jenny for reminding me to relax (and for the really cool pendant)!
